Green River is a combination fire department with 6 Full time employees working a 48/96 work schedule. The Fire Chief and Financial Administrator work Part Time 24 hrs. a week. 5 part time employees that cover open shifts and/or work as a 3rd. person on shift. We have 46 volunteers that assist with answering calls, training and assisting with NCRRS requirements.
Applications for Volunteer Members can be obtained online and submitted to the Fire Chief in person on the first Monday night of each month.
Full time and Part Time application can be obtained online and submitted to the Fire Chief online for review.
